Harare to Host Exciting Talent Auditions at State Lottery Hall

Creative energy is set to take over Harare’s State Lottery Hall tomorrow as Jinel International Talent Agency (JITA) hosts auditions for its upcoming talent development residency. Running from 9am to 2pm, the event will bring together aspiring creatives in various disciplines, from music and dance to theatre, poetry, modelling, visual arts, acting, and even football.
The auditions aim to discover both emerging and refined talent, offering a platform for participants to display their skills before a distinguished panel of judges made up of industry experts, cultural leaders, and creative pioneers.
JITA founder Jenny Shipanga explained that her passion lies in discovering genuine, often overlooked talent within African communities and creating meaningful opportunities for growth and exposure.
“Our mission at JITA is to do more than just highlight talent — we want to cultivate it and connect it with international stages,” said Shipanga. “This initiative is about building confidence, leaving a legacy, and showing individuals that their creativity holds value, no matter where they come from.”
JITA’s inclusive audition format allows participants from all creative backgrounds — including fashion, spoken word, and the performing arts — to showcase their abilities. Performers will be evaluated not only on skill but also on originality, presence, and passion.
Winners will be selected based on a combination of judge scores and public votes, with consistency and audience impact playing a significant role throughout the audition process leading up to the agency’s official launch.
Rather than focusing solely on rewards, Shipanga stressed that the initiative prioritizes collaboration and long-term development. “This is about partnering with talent and guiding them toward discovering their full potential,” she said.
Successful participants can look forward to receiving tailored mentorship, increased media visibility, and opportunities to perform on global stages through JITA’s extensive network.
The event is free and open to the public, and attendees can enjoy live performances while witnessing rising talent step into the spotlight. For creatives ready to take their passion to the next level, this is a chance to be seen, heard, and supported.
