2025 Gorindemabwe Frontier 100 Most Influential Young Zimbabweans List Celebrates Next Generation of Leaders
The 2025 Gorindemabwe Frontier 100 Most Influential Young Zimbabweans list has been released, showcasing a generation of young leaders, creatives, and innovators shaping Zimbabwe’s future both locally and internationally. Now in its 13th edition, the annual list recognises individuals who have broken barriers, set new standards in their fields, and demonstrated exceptional impact across multiple sectors.
Founder Walter Chimene described the 2025 compilation as a reflection of a generation defined by innovation, excellence, and resilience. “This year’s list draws inspiration from the incredible strides made by young Zimbabweans who have broken barriers locally, regionally, and globally,” Chimene said. “We are humbled to stand as the premier platform globally recognised for shining a spotlight on such remarkable achievements.”
The list highlights talent across sports, politics, entertainment, business, media, and technology. Among the most prominent names are footballer Marshall Munetsi, who combines sporting success with humanitarian efforts; Honourable Tatenda Mavetera, Minister of ICT and a strong youth empowerment advocate; and music star Jah Prayzah, whose work continues to elevate Zimbabwean culture abroad.
Digital creators, media professionals, and innovators also feature prominently. Comic Elder, DJ Ollah 7, Zimpapers Group Entertainment Editor Tafadzwa Zimoyo, fintech entrepreneur Samuelle Dimairho, and financial analyst Percy Gwanyanya all rank in the top 10, highlighting the diversity of influence among Zimbabwe’s youth.
Chimene explained that the selection process is rigorous, combining research, public submissions, and a data-driven algorithm. “We work in an ecosystem of researchers, analysts, and organisations who engage with young leaders across sectors. Submissions are reviewed carefully, and the final ranking is determined through our in-house algorithm that rewards impact, consistency, and leadership,” he said.
The full list illustrates the breadth of Zimbabwean talent. Sports figures such as Sikandar Raza, Tanya Muzinda, and Blessing Muzarabani join cultural icons including Feli Nandi, Holy 10, Nutty O, and Madam Boss. Innovators like Maud Chifamba and Tinevimbo Makumbe showcase academic and scientific excellence among young Zimbabweans.
Chimene added, “This list is more than a celebration – it is a mirror of Zimbabwe’s youthful energy. Our nation’s progress rests on the shoulders of its dreamers, builders, and disruptors who continue to push boundaries.”
