Mai TT’s Latest Movie Hits Over 600,000 Views on YouTube

Mai TT, born Felistas Murata, has seen her latest movie achieve massive online traction, hitting over 600,000 views on YouTube since its release. The film premiered in September in Harare, drawing most of the Nollywood stars involved and creating significant excitement both at the event and online.
Despite the milestone, Mai TT has raised concerns about pirate channels posting her movie without permission. She urged fans to report any unauthorized uploads, stressing that she invested 100,000 USD into the production. “Kindly send every YouTube link that shares my movie on their screens for money, remember I spent my 100,000 USD without their help,” she said.
Mai TT distinguished between genuine fans and bloggers who share the content without supporting the official release. “I respect only my fans who are not bloggers who bought my movie and watched it again on YouTube. All these bloggers, I never saw them when I was marketing my premiere, or talking good about me,” she added.
The movie’s success online is amplified by teaser clips circulating widely on social media, sparking interest and encouraging more viewers to watch the full film. The 600,000-plus YouTube views underline the growing digital reach of Nollywood productions and the importance of protecting creators’ work from piracy.
