Gravely ill man kicked out of family house by sibling
A man from Unit J in Chitungwiza is currently living outside after being kicked out of a family home by his brother. Integrate Soroti aged 38 is living with his wife and four kids. To make matters worse, he is incapacitated due to complications arising from diabetes.
Initially, Integrate and his wife Loice Josias, 32, used to stay at the house but when his mother passed away in November last year, Hondo secretly looked for another place for them to stay. He looked for an apartment for me without my knowledge when I was admitted in hospital, he then moved my belongings to that house without my knowledge, and when my wife returned from the hospital visit, and he took her to the new house and told her that he would be paying the rentals, just to get rid of me.
However, they were kicked out when the rentals ceased to be paid and Hondo gave no explanation as to why he stopped paying. The neighbours crowd funded to have their things transported back to the family homeUpon their arrival, they knocked the gate but they were not answered and attended to by neither Hondo nor his family. The movers had to leave them outside the gate with their belongings.“He hasn’t opened the gate ever since and we are just sleeping outside with his bedridden brother,” said Loice
Hondo has been spotted leaving his house through the backyard and has to jump over the precast wall in order to do so.He hasn’t been using the main gate since his brother and his family camped outside.Hondo is reported to have thrown a letter to his neighbors, in which stated that he was still bitter over the way his brother treated their now deceased mother. He said there will be no peace between the siblings and said he will be selling the house when the lockdown is over.
