Job Description
Purpose: To Support the Health Facilitator in the implementation of the emergency nutrition response activities in Buhera district in accordance with the Terms of Reference for the UNICEF CERF project.
Major Responsibilities:
- To support the conduct of the training of community and facility staff in integrated management of acute malnutrition.- Training of 330 village health workers (10 per ward on screening for malnutrition)
- To support trained the Health Facilitator in following up on community cadres in rapid and massive screening of children under 5 years in all 33 wards in the district- Screening of 37 434 children under 5 years for acute malnutrition and referral of the 37 434 children under 5 eligible for Vit A Supplementation and for 12 613 pregnant and lactating women to receive micro-nutrient supplementation and 14 907 mother baby pairs receive ICYF counselling ion the community
- Support the Monitoring and implementation of the CERF supported activities including coordination with key stakeholders- through conducting monthly review meetings with 330 trained community workers
- Support the Compilation of narrative and financial project reports- Monthly narrative progress reports due by the 5th of every month and Financial reports due on 16 February and 30 April 2016
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Degree in Health Promotion Development Studies
- At least 6 months experience working in community development, health or nutrition
