Extremely poor turnout for Mafikizolo concert.

There was an extremely poor turn out for the Mafikizolo concert at HICC over the weekend. Very few people attended the show which cost US 20 dollars a ticket. This might have been one of the factors that contributed to the low turn out as some people complained that it was too much.

The promoters of the show Proma events ended up offering the VVIP section to everyone considering that it initially had about 10 people. Mafikizolo has previously perfomed in Zimbabwe with scores of people attending their shows. The current economic bite might have posed a problem for most cash strapped Zimbabweans to attend the show.

Mafikizolo is one of the most liked groups in Zimbabwe. The group has even collaborated with local artists such as Jah Prayzah. The group has released songs such as Hamba nawe, Love portion and Sendekera. The duo fuses African rythimic beats and style. Their love songs and exciting videos are quite popurlar.

Most people have lamented high charges when it comes to shows with international perfomers. Most people can barely afford to attend these events which are usually charged in US dollars. Furthermore, entertainment has become a non essential thing as people are mainly focusing on bread and butter issues
