Photographer wanted at Ministry of Information and Publicity
Applications are invited for the following position which has arisen in the Ministry of information, publicity and broadcasting services
Job Title: Photographer (Grade D1/D2/D3-D4)
Reports to: Deputy Director, Content Development
Station: Head Office
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Caption and supplying photographs for editorial content, publicity campaigns, social media and other exhibitions
- Maintaining a stills photography library
- Supply requisite images for government publications and other corporate material (calendars,cards, brochures and outdoor exhibitions)
- Supplying foreign missions and Zimbabwean missions abroad with relevant images
- Compile albums related to major state visits or national developments/occasions
- Set up,mount or install photographic equipment and cameras
- Coordinating the development and printing of photographs
- Provide specifications o photographic equipment and consumables
- Provide basic servicing of photographic equipment
- Support miscellanous day to day operations as needed
- Mount,frame,laminate and lacquer finished photographs
- Determine desired images and compositions and choose equipment, props, settings and lighting to achieve desired results
- Estimate or measure light levels,distances and numbers of exposures needed using measuring devices and formulas
- Test equipment prior to use that it is in good working order
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A national Diploma in Photography or City and guilds diploma in photography or equivalent
Ability to use different types of photographic equipment and photography software
Highly skilled in photo editing software
A minimum of 2 years professional experience
Creative,detail oriented, organized and able to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills, collaboration and organization skills
A keen eye for detail and well developed artistic and creative aesthetic
Ability to use video camera is an added advantage
Remuneration package will be disclosed to the successful candidate
