1. DIRECTOR OF INNOVATION, PRODUCT AND SERVICE DEVELOPMENT X1

KEY PEFORMANCE AREAS

1. Investment/commercial project management and execution of standard legal contracts for such work

Investment structuring, accounting and economic valuation of projects for acceptance in the commercial world
-Marketing business ventures as well as driving fundraising activities

• Project intellectual property and legalities management
• Strategic management and investment appraisal and development of business plans and strategies
• Management of innovation gun facilities
  QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A Master’s degree in a Science subject including laboratory research and development
• A PhD degree and a qualification in business, economics or related field would be a distinct advantage
• 5 years experience in senior Management position
• Relevant work experience in a commercial setting and evidence of entrepreneurial flair in a technology driven environment

1. PROCUREMENT DIRECTOR
   VICE CHANCELLOR’S OFFICE
   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
   The procurement Director is expected to carry out the following key responsibilities
   -Design and execute the university’s procurement strategy,supported by tactical and innovative procurement programmes

• Develop, communicate and implement the university’s procurement plan, policies and processes to ensure a consistent and standardized approach and to drive improvements and efficiencies in procurement activities
  -Oversee the university’s procurement plan in accordance with the Public Procurement Act and other applicable laws
• Determine the procurement method to be used upon receipt of requests
• Provide timeous expert advice to the Vice Chancellor and other key stake holders on all aspects of procurement
• Prepare bidding documents and evaluation criteria and manage the bidding process
• Other duties as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in Accounting,Supply chain management,or equivalent and a Bachelors degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
• Membership and possession of a chartered institute of purchasing and supply
• Graduate diploma is an added advantage
• Furthermore five years of relevant post post qualification work experience as a Procurement manager
