Hardwork, discipline have kept me here: Kwinjo

By Geronimo News

Malvin Kwinjo believes hardwork and discipline have been his major drivers towards his prolonged stay at topflight league side Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Kwinjo is one of the few members left, alongside goalkeeper Nelson Chadya, who were part of the Madamburo outfit which made its maiden dance in the Zimbabwean topflight league way back in 2016.

“My hardwork and my discipline have kept me here at this great club. I have always worked towards improving myself and my game and to prove not only to myself but to everyone at this institution that I really deserve to be here,” said Kwinjo.

Speaking on the expectations of the club going forward, the skilful midfielder highlighted that they are targeting to win the big crown this year and are hopeful of maintaining their consistency in the forthcoming matches.

“It’s still a long way to go in the league and seven points behind the log leaders is not much. We have a great chance of turning things around and I believe we have the quality, we have the right players and the morale in camp is high so we can do it. We have the ability and the zeal to win the league,” he said.

Ngezi Platinum Stars clash against Manica Diamonds at their favourite hunting stable the Baobab Stadium on Saturday.

And coming on the back of an impressive 4-0 win over Tenax in their previous league encounter at the same stadium, Madamburo will be looking forward to continue with their winning momentum as they seek to fulfil their dream of a top finish.
