The Unveiled Kickstarts 2026 with Spirit-Filled Collaboration on ‘Ngcwele’

Gospel outfit The Unveiled has begun 2026 on a high note, following their collaboration with multi-award-winning South Africa-based musician Canaan Nyathi on the uplifting track, Ngcwele. Released just a week ago, the song was composed and written by The Unveiled founder and director, Joshua Mtima, and recorded live in Bulawayo, where the group headlined a sold-out show in November last year.
Mtima describes Ngcwele as a proclamation piece, honouring God as an immortal figure worthy of praise. “I wrote the song to celebrate the Almighty for the miracles He has done in our lives. It’s a song that says Hallelujah to the powerful God, who has the power to move mountains,” he said. The creative journey from concept to completion was both challenging and rewarding, as Mtima ensured the Ndebele lyrics were accurate and aligned with the intended spiritual message. He praised the band for delivering a smooth and appreciative sound that perfectly complements the song’s genre.
Canaan Nyathi, known for his adaptability and spirit-filled performances, contributed to refining the lyrics and guiding pronunciation, bridging language differences with Mtima and the team. “He is thorough, talented, and brings joy to the studio, which made the creation of this song much easier,” Mtima said. Nyathi echoed the sentiment, adding that his frequent visits to Harare facilitated the collaboration. “The Unveiled are an amazing group with a unique sound. Working together was seamless because of their quality, creativity, and dedication to praising God,” he said.
Both artistes agree that the message of Ngcwele resonates deeply, centering on giving God the highest praise and honour. Nyathi added, “God has the power to heal the sick, and I have seen Him manifest in my life. I sang with all my heart because the Lord has been good to me, and He deserves all the honour and praise.”
Looking ahead, The Unveiled are preparing a live recording featuring surprise gospel artistes from Zimbabwe and beyond. The full album is scheduled for release in April, promising more spirit-filled music that continues to inspire worshippers across the region.
