Noluntu J Gears Up for Third Harare Performance of the Year

Talented Bulawayo-based songstress Noluntu J is quickly becoming a favourite among audiences in Harare, earning multiple gig requests in the capital city.
This Saturday, Noluntu J will perform at the Sofar Harare edition at Mara Mara Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge as part of a culture pop-up affair. The event features intimate live music alongside fashion pop-up stores by the Fabrik Store and Pezzeculiar, as well as a visual art exhibition by Lin Barrie and Yashe.
This will mark Noluntu J’s third performance in Harare this year. In April, she took the Madirirano stage alongside heavyweights such as Killer Tee and Freeman, and she also performed at Music Connects in August. In October, she is set to join the lineup for Zimbabwe’s premier music showcase, the Jacaranda Music Festival (JMF), following the announcement of the third wave of performers for the 2025 edition.
Noluntu J said she is excited to reunite with her Harare fans and promised an additional new sound. “The last time I was in Harare, I had a beautiful show and the crowd’s energy was electric,” she said. “I love performing in Harare! The city has a vibrant music scene and the audience is always receptive and enthusiastic. It’s a great feeling connecting with my fans and entertaining the crowd with my music.”
The bubbly artiste revealed she is working on new music and experimenting with fresh sounds and styles. She is also focusing on collaborations with other talented artistes, promising fans new releases and projects soon.
Noluntu J’s growing presence in Harare reflects her rising influence in Zimbabwe’s music scene, blending Amapantsula-inspired aesthetics with dynamic performances that continue to captivate audiences.
