Andy Muridzo Denies Reports of Marital Struggles
Zimbabwean musician Andy Muridzo has denied claims that his marriage to Rumbidzayi Mwabvu is on the brink of collapse. Allegations of infidelity and failure to provide for his family have been circulating, with sources suggesting the musician’s relationship is under strain.
According to a report by H-Metro, anonymous insiders claimed that explicit love messages found on Muridzo’s phone had caused a rift in his marriage. They also alleged that Muridzo’s inability to fulfill his financial responsibilities had further worsened the situation.
One source reportedly told the publication:
“Andy’s marriage to Mai Simbiso is on the rocks, and they have parted ways. He needs serious spiritual help because his marriages keep failing.”
Mwabvu, who has allegedly referred to herself as the family’s breadwinner, declined to address the rumors directly. When contacted for comment, she said:
“Write what you have been told. I have no comment on such allegations. Stop calling me or sending me messages; I have already captured your attempts to contact me.”
Muridzo Responds
Initially silent on the matter, Muridzo later dismissed the claims, stating that his marriage remains intact. Speaking to H-Metro, he said:
“The truth is that I never separated from Mai Simbiso. It’s only bitter people spreading falsehoods about my life. We are together, and I am currently on my way from Beitbridge.”
Muridzo emphasized his desire to keep his personal life private, particularly for the sake of his children and music career:
“I wanted to live a quiet life and keep my private matters out of the public eye. However, H-Metro always manages to draw me into the spotlight.”
A Pattern of Scrutiny
This is not the first time Muridzo’s private life has made headlines. His previous marriage to Chido Manyange also ended publicly, accompanied by a custody battle. When asked about her ex-husband’s current marital issues, Manyange declined to comment.
As rumors continue to circulate, Muridzo’s focus appears to be on defending his reputation and maintaining his family life. Whether this latest controversy will affect his career remains to be seen, but the musician remains adamant that his marriage is not in jeopardy.
