Enzo Ishall Confirms He Will Never Release an Album, Sticking to Singles

Zimbabwean music fans know Enzo Ishall as a master at making people dance. Since his breakthrough hit Kanjiva six years ago, the Zimdancehall star has delivered one hit after another, winning the hearts of ghetto youth across the country. Despite his success, fans have long wondered why he has yet to release a full album.

Last year, Enzo teased a debut album set for May 2025, but the release never materialized. In a recent interview with Nehanda Radio, the Magate hitmaker confirmed that a full album is not in his plans.

“I will never do an album, I’m good with singles. That’s where my strength is. Albums require so much work and time. Maybe I’m too lazy to put in so much work,” Enzo Ishall said.

When asked why he teased fans with an album last December, Enzo explained that singles generate enough revenue for him. “The goal is to cash in, and with my singles I’m making enough to survive. So why have an album if my singles are cashing in well? Not every artist is meant to release an album,” he said.

He added that albums carry risks. “Some artists have done exceptionally well with albums, while others failed dismally. With singles, people get time to digest and enjoy each song.”

Enzo also revealed his biggest fear with album releases. “Imagine you release an album and only one song does well. So why not just release a single, then?”

For now, fans can expect Enzo Ishall to continue dropping singles, each crafted to get audiences moving and enjoying his signature Zimdancehall sound. His approach proves that in a market driven by streaming and singles, a full album is no longer a requirement for success.
