Miss Universe Zimbabwe national director Tendai Hunda represented the nation with distinction at the Miss Universe National Directors Meeting held today at The Emporium Suites in Klongtoey, Bangkok. She joined fellow directors from across the globe for a day of discussions on the evolving landscape of international pageantry.

Hunda described the gathering as insightful and empowering, highlighting how it broadened her understanding of the role of culture, tradition, and innovation in modelling and pageantry.

“Being in the same room with directors from different continents offered a unique opportunity to learn how cultures and traditions are integrated into modelling to promote tourism and foster global appreciation. It was an honour to be part of today’s meeting,” Hunda said.

The discussions focused on cultural storytelling, innovation in pageantry, and the growing influence of national directors in shaping the Miss Universe experience. Hunda noted that exchanging ideas with international peers reaffirmed her commitment to keeping Zimbabwe visible and competitive on the global stage.

She also thanked Zimbabweans for their continued support of Lyshanda Moyas, who remains one of the country’s strongest Miss Universe contenders in recent years.

“I want to sincerely thank Zimbabwe for standing with Lyshanda. The voting support has been great, and I am confident she will make the nation proud,” Hunda said.

Highlighting Moyas’ poise and determination, Hunda noted that the contestant’s performance reflects Zimbabwe’s rising confidence and presence in global pageantry.

“As a director, witnessing how our contestant is embraced internationally is truly inspiring. Zimbabwe’s light is shining brighter today,” she added.
