Simon Mutambi Set to Launch 13th Album Yadeuka Yadeuka in Mbare

Mbare is gearing up for a memorable night filled with rhythm, nostalgia, and Zimbabwean cultural pride as veteran Sungura musician Simon Mutambi prepares to unveil his 13th studio album, Yadeuka Yadeuka, on July 17, 2025, at the vibrant Zebra Village venue.

With over a decade of musical excellence behind him, Mutambi remains one of Zimbabwe’s most consistent and influential Sungura artists. His latest release is already generating buzz across the country, promising a fresh wave of danceable hits and emotionally rich storytelling that fans have come to expect from the “Smart Sungura” trailblazer.

The album Yadeuka Yadeuka features seven well-crafted songs, each steeped in traditional Sungura flair while embracing contemporary themes. Among the standout tracks are Nyaya Dzangu, Chimbomira, Mai ndiMai, Munhu weMunhu, and Shamiso. Two headline-making collaborations further elevate the project — the title track Yadeuka Yadeuka features the charismatic Gift Amuli, while Wenyasha sees Mutambi join forces with the legendary Nicholas Zakaria, a pioneer of the genre.
