Sir Paul Samupindi Inspires Faith and Hope with Soul-Stirring Gospel Single Hama Yangu

BORN out of faith, perseverance and an unshakeable belief in God’s timing, Sir Paul Samupindi continues to emerge as one of Mutare’s most compelling gospel voices. The rising artiste opened the new year with the release of Hama Yangu, a single that blends heartfelt lyrics with rich instrumentation, offering comfort and hope to listeners navigating uncertain times.
Recorded and produced at Kunashe Studios by Olin Anderson, the track highlights Samupindi’s emotive vocals and spiritual depth. From the first note, Hama Yangu draws listeners into a reflective space, encouraging healing and renewed faith. The song carries a message of total surrender to God, reinforcing themes that have defined Samupindi’s musical journey.
For Samupindi, this release is more than a new single; it marks the continuation of a personal and spiritual journey shaped by resilience, life experiences, and unwavering belief in divine timing. Drawing from his own testimony, he reminds believers that God remains present, even in life’s heaviest moments. This authenticity sets him apart in Zimbabwe’s gospel scene, where performance often overshadows ministry.
Born and raised in Dangamvura, Samupindi discovered his musical gift at Rujeko Primary School. His teenage years were spent in choral groups including the Amen Gospel Crusade praise team, AFM Dangamvura Central Choral Group, and Vessels of Honour Choral Group, where his distinctive voice began to mature. Early works like the album Zvakandiwira, featuring tracks such as Gore, Tinotenda, and He Took My Pain Away, established him as a rising gospel talent.
Hama Yangu reflects decades of experience, with Samupindi serving as both songwriter and worship leader. The song begins with contemplative piano chords that build into a sweeping arrangement anchored by his vocals. The lyrics focus on surrender and trust in God, themes central to his ministry.
In an interview with Weekender Entertainment, Samupindi explained, “Hama Yangu is my heart speaking, reminding listeners that no matter how heavy life gets, God’s presence never leaves us. It is a companion in moments of doubt, a voice of hope when silence feels loud, and a reminder that surrendering our worries to God brings peace nothing else can offer.”
Producer Olin Anderson, who also worked on Samupindi’s Takaona Mwari album, elevates the track with a sound that balances modern polish with authentic spiritual fervour. His approach ensures Hama Yangu resonates deeply while remaining contemporary.
Beyond music, Samupindi’s story inspires a new generation of believers. Overcoming personal challenges and physical adversity, he has demonstrated that faith is a lived experience. Fans regularly share testimonies of healing and renewed spirit, reflecting the impact of his music both online and during live performances.
Hama Yangu is now available for streaming and download, continuing Sir Paul Samupindi’s mission of creating gospel music that uplifts, encourages, and ministers to the soul.
This release solidifies his role as a leading voice in Zimbabwean gospel, combining technical skill, emotional depth, and spiritual authenticity to reach audiences seeking hope, comfort, and connection to God.
