UK-Based Gospel Star Eleana Makombe Shines with Four Nominations at Ezekiel Guti Legacy Awards

United Kingdom-based gospel sensation Eleana Makombe is riding a wave of excitement after receiving four nominations at the upcoming Ezekiel Guti Legacy Awards. The celebrated artist, known for her powerful vocals and spiritually uplifting music, was recognized in the categories of Best Gospel Artist, Best Music Video, Best Song, and the coveted People’s Choice Award.

The prestigious awards ceremony is scheduled for May 3 and will take place during the Legacy Musical Show at Braeside ZAOGA Church in Harare. The event aims to honour Zimbabweans affiliated with ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries International who have made significant contributions through music and ministry.

Eleana faces stiff competition from notable gospel figures such as Sir Benjamin Rupapa, Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave, Vocal Base, Probity Mutsambiwa, Pastor Lavy Mlilo, and Melissa Makwasha.

Speaking in an interview, Eleana expressed her gratitude and surprise over the nominations. “I would say this is God and thank you for the nomination,” she said humbly.

She also called on her fans to actively participate in the voting process, urging them, “I encourage and urge my fans to start voting so we bring the gongs home.”

Eleana recently returned to Zimbabwe to take part in the Easter festivities, delivering a memorable performance at the Resurrection Rhapsody event held at Glamis Arena. Despite the brief homecoming, she emphasized that the trip was strictly business. “I came back not for holiday but it’s music business as usual as I have started rehearsals for the Grateful concert scheduled for May 31 in the United Kingdom,” she shared.

With her band permanently based in Zimbabwe, Eleana expressed heartfelt appreciation for their support and dedication as she gears up for her future performances.

As anticipation builds for the Ezekiel Guti Legacy Awards, Eleana’s nominations have added yet another milestone to her growing international gospel music career.
