Zimbabwe Welcomes CeCe Winans for MORE THAN THIS World Tour – Africa

Zimbabwe is set to host one of the most significant gospel events of the year as CeCe Winans brings her MORE THAN THIS World Tour – Africa to Harare. The concert takes place tonight at the Celebration Centre in Borrowdale and promises to be more than a performance, positioning itself as a spiritual movement and a celebration of women leading in ministry.

Winans, a multi-award-winning gospel singer, is scheduled to land at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport this evening ahead of the highly anticipated worship gathering. The event has already drawn huge interest, with tickets nearing sell-out status.

According to Lyncolin Kapswara, events director at Events by GEC, Winans arrives fresh from powerful performances in Randburg on August 19-20 and Cape Town on August 22-23. Both shows in South Africa left audiences uplifted and deeply moved.

The South African leg featured guest performances by acclaimed gospel voices HLE and Ntokozo Mbambo and was hosted by broadcaster, author, singer, and speaker Rorisang Thandekiso. Thandekiso will also host the Harare concert, marking her second high-profile event in Zimbabwe after anchoring the Maverick City Music Kingdom World Tour in 2024. Her wide-ranging experience, from Metro FM and SABC1’s Mzansi Insider to her music career with the band MuzArt, has established her as a trusted figure in both worship and cultural spaces.

Tonight’s event goes beyond music. It stands as a celebration of women shaping gospel ministry across Africa. Winans, whose career continues to bridge cultural and spiritual divides, shares the stage with Zimbabwean gospel pioneers Bonnie Deuschle and Janet Manyowa. Both artists are expected to open the evening with an atmosphere of anointed worship, preparing hearts before Winans delivers a setlist that includes globally loved songs such as Goodness of God and Believe for It.

Deuschle and Manyowa represent strength, grace, and leadership in Zimbabwe’s gospel music landscape. Their presence alongside Winans highlights the growing influence of women in faith, media, and leadership.

Kapswara noted the unique timing of the concert. “Everything is in place for what we believe will be a life-changing time in the presence of the Lord. What makes this event unique is that it falls midweek, giving believers a special opportunity to gather on a Tuesday night and experience something extraordinary. With CeCe Winans, Bonnie Deuschle and Janet Manyowa sharing the platform, we are confident this will be one of the most memorable worship encounters Zimbabwe has ever witnessed.”

As lights dim and voices rise in worship tonight, the Celebration Centre will host more than a concert. It will be a defining moment for gospel music lovers and a testament to the power of women in ministry. For many across Africa, this gathering stands as a reminder of faith, purpose, and the extraordinary impact of women who lead with both voice and vision.
