Marvelous Nakamba lands helping hand

Zimbabwe national soccer team mid-fielder Marvelous Nakamba has put smiles on the faces of several families after paying tuition fees for 1000 children.

The payment of tuition was made through the Marvelous Nakamba foundation which was established as a way of providing assistance to the needy as well as getting involved in programmes which promote development.

The development follows the opening of schools which had been closed owing to the covid-19 pandemic. According to a statement issued out on the Marvelous Nakamba  Foundation twitter page, the initiative serves to aide the needs of children as well as to ensure that their fundamental right to education is catered for.

Having risen from humble beginnings which saw him growing up with his father while his mother worked in South Africa, Nakamba is exhibiting lessons picked up about the hardships some families have to go through.

Nakamba is Zimbabwe’s fourth footballer to ply his trade in the English Premier League, following in the footsteps of Peter Ndlovu, Benjani Mwaruwari and Bruce Grobelaar.
