Attending Gordon College is a tremendous opportunity – Mandizwidza
Shingirai Mandizwidza, an up-and-coming football prospect, is eagerly awaiting the start of the regular season with the Gordon College Scots. As a freshman, Mandizwidza is focused on letting his football skills do the talking, as he seeks to build on his previous success at Winchendon High School.
For Mandizwidza, attending a highly competitive college like Gordon is a tremendous opportunity to showcase his abilities and take his game to the next level.
“My goal is to give it my all,” Mandizwidza stated. “I am passionate about football, and being part of a school with a rich football culture is a major blessing. I want to seize this opportunity and demonstrate what I am capable of achieving.”
Despite having undergone rigorous training programs in Zimbabwe, Mandizwidza believes that Gordon College will play a crucial role in further developing his game. “Playing under a knowledgeable technical team is an excellent opportunity for me. The Scots head coach, Matt Horth, is someone I have read about. I am excited about the prospect of working with him in the future, given his history as a top forward. I believe this will add great value to my game and be the spark that will help me in my endeavors of one day turning pro.”
Shingirai Mandizwidza has repeatedly outlined his goal of turning pro once he finishes his academic studies. However, he’s taking things one step at a time and focusing on his freshman season for now. His primary goal at the moment is to perform well in his first year and use that as a foundation for future success.
