Blockbuster clash on the cards as Highlanders host Ngezi

Football lovers will be in for some exciting weekend of action across the country as the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League makes a sensational return.

While the football landscape in shrouding in uncertainty following the events unfolding over the past two weeks, topflight league action tries to at least bring calmness in the middle of a storm.

As the drama at the country’s football governing body ZIFA continues to release more episodes, fans will be having a time of their life especially at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday as there will be a clash of the titans.

With the gate takings revised to US$3 from the US$10 which was initially pegged by the Premier Soccer League, it is expected that Bulawayo will be painted black as supporters will flock to Emagumeni to rally behind Highlanders who face off with the visiting Ngezi Platinum Stars in one of the major highlights of the weekend.

After a bright start to the season Ngezi will be hoping to carry forward that form and record their second Premier League win while Bosso will be hoping to come back stronger and correct their mistake from their opening league encounter where they lost three points after losing 2-0 to army side Black Rhinos at Sakubva Stadium in Mutare on November 6.

On that same day, Madamburo had the audacity to score 5 past Bulawayo City sending a huge statement of intent in their quest to win the championship for the first time in the club’s history.
