Boost for Warriors as Kadewere and Munetsi are cleared
The Zimbabwe national soccer team’s chances of earning an Africa cup of nations qualification berth have been significantly bolstered with the news of Tinotenda Kadewere and Marshall Munetsi both being cleared to represent their country following uncertainty over their availability. The Zimbabwe Football Association has confirmed the duo will now be part of the Warriors squad with zifa tweeting “Kadewere & Munetsi have been allowed to travel outside the European Union They will have to use a private flight to return to France to be exempted from quarantine”.
The French based duo was set to miss the Warriors back to back encounters against Botswana and Zambia owing to travel restrictions effected by an emergence of various covid-19 strains. The availability of Kadewere and Munetsi now strengthens Zimbabwe’s chances of booking a berth at the Afcon finals.
In other news Warriors captain Knowledge Musona is now in the country after arriving this afternoon. Musona has been in splendid form for his Belgian side KAS Eupen, scoring a goal in a 2 nil win at the weekend.
