Bosso in drab draw
Highlanders fans were left in dismay following their team’s 0-0 draw against relegation threatened Tenax CS FC in their own backyard, the Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.
In what was another disappointing display by Bosso, the hosts failed to capitalise on home advantage ultimately dropping two points in a match they could have easily won especially after dominating for the greater part of the second stanza.
Coming on the back of a 1-0 win against Bulawayo City in a Bulawayo derby last week, it was hoped Highlanders would build from that result going forward but alas the opposite was true as Amahlolanyama failed to come to the party.
“We dominated play but we failed to score. The opponents defended very well and we give them credit for the way they played. They proved they are no pushovers and are in the top-flight league not just to make numbers,” highlighted the Highlanders coach Baltemar Brito after the match.
Sunday’s result reflected the two team’s first meeting earlier in the campaign were they also shared the spoils in a match which ended 0-0 at the home of Tenax.
Currently, Highlanders occupy sixth position on the log table while Tenax CS are a distant 17th.
