FC Platinum resume training

By Geronimo News

FC Platinum resumed training on Tuesday at Mandava Stadium after taking sometime off from an intense preseason camp in Bulawayo last Friday.

The Zimbabwe champions had set up a two-week preseason base in the City of Kings and Queens that started from the 16th of January 2023.

The camp was specifically meant for coach Norman Mapeza to fine tune his arsenal ahead of the bruising 2023 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign due to take centre stage early March.

This is not the first time that FC Platinum have found Bulawayo conducive for their preseason camp as the club has been doing so since around 2015.

Now that the platinum miners are back at their Zvishavane base, Mapeza has picked it up from where he left from in Bulawayo and is continuing with the grilling of his boys to ensure they are fully prepared when the league commences.

Having won the domestic championship four times on the bounce, the Zvishavane based side has virtually created more enermies than friends and every team will be eager to topple them off the apex of the country’s football landscape this season.

With that in mind, Kugona Kunenge Kudada are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to either retain the title or at least earn a respectable finish when the 2023 PSL season comes to a close.

FC Platinum have since reunited with Perfect Chikwende who was with Bulawayo Chiefs, signed Jarrison Selemani from Cranborne Bullets and Triangle United left back Misheck Ngwenya to beef up their squad.
