Golden Eagles part ways with Joel Luphahla

Ruyamuro Northern Division One side Golden Eagles have parted ways with head coach Joel Luphahla. After discussion on Sunday, it was ultimately decided that we would go our separate ways”, said Golden Eagles chairman Barry Manandi.

The announcement by the club follows back to back draws in encounters against Harare City Cubs and Commando Bullets.

Joel Luphahla joined Golden Eagles in 2020 and when the Ruyamuro Northern Region Division One league finally got underway following a covid-19 induced break, the former warriors forward appeared to be doing well as he placed Golden Eagles among the championship contenders. Golden Eagles are currently laced 3rd and 3 points behind log leaders Herentals.

Gilbert Mushangazhike takes over as the club’s head coach and will be assisted by Phillip Sithole.
