Hadebe makes MLS Team of the Week
Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe continues to impress in the USA’s Major League Soccer after the defender helped the team earn three clean sheets since making his top flight debut for the club in their 0-0 draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps on July 20.
Hadebe helped his side to another clean sheet on Wednesday in Houston Dynamo’s 0-0 stalemate with the Whitecaps at BBVA Stadium.
The centre back made one interception, one block, three key passes, five clearances and 10 recoveries for his side, a performance which saw him making the grade for the MLS Team of the Week.
This is the first time that the Zimbabwean has received such an honour ultimately making him the eighth Houston Dynamo player to earn Team of the Week honours this season thus far.
Hadebe’s performance cone as a major boost for Warriors coach Norman Mapeza as Zimbabwe braces for their crunch back-to-back World Cup qualifiers against the Black Stars of Ghana later this month.
The defender was named in the national team squad to do the job for Zimbabwe as Mapeza seeks to turn the fortunes for the country and qualify for the global football spectacle set for Qatar in 2022.
