Nakamba and Kadewere honour Ali Baba Dube
Marvelous Nakamba and Tinotenda Kadewere will today honour renowned talent scout and junior football coach Ali Baba Dube in Bulawayo. Nakamba and Kadewere through their foundations are set to host a belated birthday braai at Archers in the city of kings.
The Marvelous Nakamba Foundation and the Tinotenda Kadewere Foundation will be bankrolling the event which seeks to celebrate the life of Ali Baba Dube who is widely known for having changed the lives of several budding footballers in the city of kings.
Dube is credited for having identified and nurtured a plethora of footballers that include Peter Ndlovu, Johannes Ngodzo, Benjani Mwaruwari, the late Mercedes “Rambo” Sibanda, Makwinji Soma Phiri and the late Mackay Nyathi just to name a few.
In the past Zimbabwean fans have often bemoaned the countries failure to recognize the efforts of individuals that have played a major role in the transformation of football in the country. Having produced so many stars Dube stands out as one of the characters that have dedicated their lives to identifying and nurturing young talent.
