Norman Mapeza highlights essence of positive result

A few hours remain before FC Platinum clash against Mozambiques Costa Do Sol in a Caf champions league preliminary round encounter this afternoon and FC Platinum head coach Norman Mapeza has highlighted the significance of a positive result in today’s encounter.

When asked about the importance of a positive result Mapeza said, “It is very important to get a positive result because it is a game of two legs, if you get a positive result here we will make our lives easier when we get back home so it is very important to search for a positive result”.

Mapeza bemoaned missing 4 players that failed fitness tests but remains optimistic. FC Platinum last year overcame UD Songo but Lizwe Sweswe was the coach that was in charge of the platinum miners after Norman Mapeza had parted ways with FC Platinum.

FC Platinum will be seeking to secure a place in the league phase of the competition for a second time. FC Platinum, Dynamos, Monomotapa and Caps United are the four Zimbabwean teams to book a berth in the mini-league phase of the caf champions league.
