Sikandar Raza Tops ICC ODI All-Rounder Rankings

Zimbabwe stalwart Sikandar Raza has climbed to the top of the International Cricket Council (ICC) One Day International (ODI) all-rounder rankings, becoming the number one ranked player in the category.

Raza’s rise comes after an impressive showing in the two-match ODI series against Sri Lanka at Harare Sports Club last week. He moved up two places to reach a rating of 302, surpassing Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omazai and Mohammad Nabi, who now occupy second and third positions.

Despite Zimbabwe losing the series 2-0, Raza delivered standout performances with the bat. In the first match, he scored 92 runs off 87 balls, almost guiding the Chevrons to victory in a last-over thriller, where they fell short by just seven runs. He followed this with an unbeaten 59 off 55 deliveries in the second ODI, again producing a valiant effort in a tight contest.

Across the series, Raza accumulated 151 runs at an average of 151, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer behind Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka, who scored 198 runs. He also contributed with the ball, claiming one wicket during the series.

Raza’s teammate Sean Williams also made strides in the rankings, moving up seven places to 16th in the ODI all-rounder list with a rating of 189.

Raza’s consistency and all-round contributions underline his importance to Zimbabwe cricket and his growing influence on the international stage.
