Takura Reveals Album Artwork and Release Date

Takura has always been a trendsetter with his music. He has been a cause for conversation within the hip hop community. Now he is preparing for his debut album. Titled ‘Somebody Had To Do It’ or simply #SHTDi, Mr Okay, Okay is showing that the album will be lit.

The album is scheduled to be released on the 13th of April.

The album cover shows an artistic view of Takura. The Relationship Goals artist is wearing a suit and smoking whilst on his phone. The smoke goes into the sky where there’s a flock of birds. Not far off there’s an image of the moon over a mountain.

The album has 18 tracks with Cog Beatz, Kiva Q Kill, Santilous, Desire and Rayo Beats on the production. Featured artists include Jnr Brown, upcoming artists Rachel Makaranga, CciCci and IARE.

Takura made his debut as a solo artist in 2016, after leaving Soul Afrika. He took over 2016 with the hits Zino Irema, MaObama and Mungandii?. He released his first EP ‘Stripped’ which was followed by ‘Relationship Goals’ in 2017.
