Killer T releases ‘Mboko’ video.

Zimdancehall artist Killer T recently enticed his fans with a brand new video. The video which is titled Mboko is part of the singles collection ‘Ghetto rine nharo’ which was released early this year.

The video showcases the plight faced by men as they try to win the affection of their loved ones and the subsequent resistance they get from the relatives of the ones they are trying to woo. Killer T laments the issues of failure by the father of the girl he is in love with to accept him. He also bemoans the interference by the brothers of the girl as he struggles to profess his love for her.

Killer T is seen being chased around by a group of men who appear to be relatives of the girl that he is trying to win over. He is caught, beaten and advised to run for his life. It is at this point that Killer T reiterates that his in-laws, his father in law to be , in particular is biased. He calls him ‘mboko’ a derogatory Shona word for someone who is uncultured and stupid.

It is unheard of in the Shona culture for an aspiring son in law to curse his father in law to be, but the indication from the song is that after protracted efforts to communicate with his loved one and being assaulted for it, Killer T had reached that point of insulting all those who were destroying his plans. He even questions whether the father in law now wants to marry his own daughter himself.

The video was directed by Andy Cutta films and is set to be one of the top contenders for the best videos of 2019. Killer T is amongst some of the best zimdancehall artists in Zimbabwe. His songs are said to have substance and mature lyrics unlike those of fellowship zimdancehall artists.

He has released songs such as Ndabuda,Hondo and Mai vangu varozvi.
