Winky D In Messy Fraud Accusations

Seems like Winky D has landed himself in some hot water after failing to show up for a show he was already paid full amount for, leaving the promoters of the show accusing him of committing fraud.

The Dancehall crooner was booked alongside Tocky Vibes, Souljah Love and Trevor Dongo to perform in London, Birmingham and Manchester from the 1st to the 3rd of May according to the event promoter Luther Pazvakavambwa from Digital One Productions.

Winky D got paid in two different installments, the first half was paid last year in November and the remaining half half a week before the show. The total money he had asked was $7000 and he received all the money.

“They wanted five tickets to travel to the UK, I bought the tickets and they missed the flight. I bought another set of tickets and he refused to travel saying they could not travel separately”, said Pazvakavambwa.

The promoter is threatening to sue Winky D saying he made a $27000 loss because Winky D and his crew didn’t show up.

Winky D’s rep has issued a statement saying they did get the money. “If they have issues they have to approach us not the press.” We hope this doesn’t give the hit maker a bad reputation.
