Zimbabwean cycling couple Vusumuzi Mnkandla and Thandolwenkosi Tshuma received a warm and high-profile welcome in Accra, Ghana on Sunday after completing an extraordinary journey across 22 countries over the past 10 months. Their arrival marked another milestone in a long-distance cycling expedition that has drawn attention across the continent for its scale, endurance and cultural impact. The pair were received by Lesley Kupahurasa in the eastern suburb of Tema before continuing their journey into the capital. Later, they were formally welcomed by the Dean of Ambassadors in West Africa and Zimbabwe’s representative in Ghana, Kuga Chinoza. After a short rest in Tema, the cyclists continued their journey by bicycle to the Zimbabwe Embassy near Kotoko International Airport, symbolically completing another leg of their ongoing mission.
