Warriors rise on FIFA rankings ladder

WarriorsThe Zimbabwe senior soccer team has gained four places on the FIFA world rankings ladder according to a rankings release made by the world football governing body on Thursday.

In the month of July the Zimbabwe senior soccer team occupied 112th position after gaining seven places from their previous placing of 119. The Warriors were again on the positive when FIFA released the latest rankings on Thursday with the Zimbabwe senior soccer side moving from 112th position to 108 in the world. The Warriors maintained 32nd position on the continent.

Argentina are still the world’s best ranked side with Belgium moving second position after displacing Germany who fell to third.Colombia maintained fourth place as Brazil and Portugal each rose one place to fifth and sixth positions respectively. Copa America winners Chile climbed one place to occupy 10 place.

Mexico used its Gold Cup title to rise 14 places to number 26. Runner-ups Jamaica moved 21 places to 55th position. The United States, beaten by Jamaica in the semi-finals, improved five places to number 29.
