Admire Takudzwa Mushambi popularly known as Mama Vee Faces Arrest Over Failure to Attend E-Creator Fraud Case Hearing

Prominent comedian and content creator Admire Takudzwa Mushambi, popularly known as Mama Vee, is now facing arrest after failing to appear at a scheduled court hearing at Harare Magistrates Court.

Mama Vee is a key witness in the ongoing E-Creator Ponzi scheme fraud case, which is alleged to have defrauded victims of over US$300 000. Regional magistrate Mr Francis Mapfumo issued a warrant of arrest following her absence from the proceedings.

During the hearing, another social media personality and witness, Tarisai Cleopatra Munetsiva, known as Madam Boss, testified that Mama Vee introduced her to the E-Creator scheme owners.

Madam Boss revealed that she was initially approached to create a Facebook advertisement for the scheme and received payment for her services. She later decided to invest US$100 in the scheme and encouraged her husband and relatives to participate as well.

The case has drawn significant attention due to the involvement of popular social media figures, highlighting concerns over the role of influencers in promoting questionable investment schemes. The court is expected to pursue further proceedings once Mama Vee responds to the arrest warrant.
