Multiple categories will be recognised, including Restaurant of the Year, Takeaway of the Year, Chef of the Year, Waiter of the Year, Bakery of the Year, Butcher of the Year, Supermarket of the Year, Best Traditional Cuisine, Best International Cuisine, and Best Braai Spot.
Bulawayo Eats, the city’s fastest-growing food delivery platform, currently partners with over 50 restaurants and serves a community of more than 7,000 active users. The awards aim to create a platform to celebrate the creativity, hard work, and innovation driving Bulawayo’s food industry.
“The Bulawayo Eats Awards are more than just recognition — they are a celebration of the talent and resilience of our city’s food and hospitality sector,” a press statement said. “We are excited to showcase the businesses and individuals who bring joy to our tables every day.”
The inaugural awards are expected to become an annual event, highlighting culinary excellence and fostering growth within Bulawayo’s food community.
