Flamboyant socialite Teemak in hot soup for swindling investors of their money
Self confessed millionaire Teemak is currently in hot soup with his investors for allegedly duping them. Teemak, whose real name is Taona Oswald Chipunza, was recently left feeling the heat after being cornered by some Tuskish investors over some money that he owes them. In a video that is circulating on social media Teemak seems to have been held hostage by the angry investors while demanding their money back.
These investors are said to be lodged at Teemak’s house and have said they will not leave until they get all their money back. They are even said to have given each other duties to watch over TeeMak to ensure that he does not escape. In the video, the investors actually issue a death threat in a subtle way and say if anyone dies then they will not be responsible.
Rumours of Teemak duping investors have been doing the rounds for some time. He is believed to have swindled scores of diaspora based Zimbabweans of hundreds of thousands of dollars before fleeing to the country. He is said to have executed his plans through an elaborate Ponzi scheme.
The 23 year old socialite is alleged to have convinced people to invest in Maximus capital claiming that he could guarantee massive returns after trading on the forex exchange market. His plans, however, collapsed in June leaving most of his investors stranded and crying foul over their money which they are yet to recover. Teemak has promised to pay back the money although it seems a bit gloomy at the moment.
Most people who commented on social media said the young socialite might have bitten more than he could chew. They said also accused him of living outside his means.
