Grace Family International Founder Evidence Chari and Ex-Wife Anesu Mwarianesu Clash on Social Media

Prominent preacher Evidence Chari, founder of Grace Family International Church, and his ex-wife Anesu Mwarianesu have engaged in a highly publicised dispute on social media, airing allegations and counterclaims about their past marriage.
The feud began when Anesu accused Chari of abuse during their relationship. “Nhasi ndoda kungoti abusers must fall… Amen,” she wrote, sparking a response from Chari, who argued that men also deserve protection. He claimed he was unfairly victimised by Anesu and her sister, accusing them of manipulating the narrative for personal gain.
Chari’s response included strong statements, saying, “You’re posting this because I confronted your relative who wanted to sleep with me. Now you’re turning the narrative because she’s the one paying you since you left. If she were truthful, she shouldn’t have wanted to sleep with me.” He also suggested that Anesu had been influenced by outside parties and required help.
In turn, Anesu issued further allegations, asserting that she endured significant abuse throughout their marriage. She emphasised that she had tried to protect Chari and maintain the relationship for years. “People don’t just walk away for no reason. If you truly longed before things reached this point, you know how many years I stayed, how much I endured, how many times I tried, and how much I protected you,” she said. She criticised false narratives that she says misrepresent her experience and painted a picture of long-term hardship and emotional strain.
The dispute gained more attention last month when Anesu claimed her life had been threatened, citing safety concerns as the reason for seeking a divorce from Chari.
The ongoing public exchange has sparked widespread debate online, drawing reactions from followers of Grace Family International and the broader social media community, highlighting the challenges of privacy, accountability, and perception in high-profile personal disputes.
