Nomqhele Sisa Nkomo to Represent Zimbabwe at Miss Tourism International 2025

Zimbabwe’s cultural ambassador, Nomqhele Sisa Nkomo, is preparing to represent the nation at the Miss Tourism International pageant in Malaysia from October 4 to 20, 2025. At only 21, she has earned recognition for her modeling achievements, fashion innovation, and community-driven initiatives.
Her mentor and pageant coach, Simbarashe Gwawawa, described her as a role model for aspiring Zimbabwean models. “She embodies confidence, intelligence and responsibility, qualities that make her stand out on both national and international platforms,” he said.
Nkomo is not only focused on pageantry but also on making an impact through her social initiative, Green Minds. The project links sustainability with Zimbabwe’s cultural and tourism identity. “Green Minds emphasises that preserving the environment is preserving who we are as a nation,” Gwawawa explained. He added that the initiative shows her commitment to causes that extend beyond the runway, proving she wants to build a lasting legacy.
Crowned Miss NUST 2025, Nkomo has consistently demonstrated vision beyond the crown. She believes her role is to inspire young people and remind the world of Zimbabwe’s cultural strength. “She carries the nation’s spirit in everything she does,” said Gwawawa. “The world should expect her to inspire, to teach, and to remind us all that Zimbabwe has a powerful voice in tourism and culture.”
Nkomo echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of her project. “Our beautiful nation depends on conservation, and I want young people to take pride in protecting our heritage,” she said. With Green Minds, she promotes environmental awareness and sustainable practices among Zimbabwean youth.
She also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent the country. “I aim to carry our nation’s spirit into every space I occupy, inspiring young people to dream boldly and embrace their unique potential,” she said.
As the October pageant approaches, Gwawawa encouraged Zimbabweans to rally behind her. “She is resilient, innovative, and proud of her roots. She will not just represent us, she will make a mark on the global stage,” he said.
Nomqhele Sisa Nkomo’s journey highlights how pageantry can extend beyond beauty. With her mix of talent, advocacy, and authenticity, she is set to fly Zimbabwe’s flag high in Malaysia.
