Prominent lawyer succumbs to covid 19

The legal fraternity is in deep mourning following the death of one of their own. Mr Wellington Pasipanodya succumbed to covid 19 this Wednesday. He was a senior patner at Manase and Manase law firm where he had been for over a decade. Most people were sad to learn of his death.

He was described as a sharp and intelligent person whose legacy will forever be cherished. Those who worked with him described him as a humble and kind hearted boss. Mr Pasi was well known for his legal acumen. His clientele involved prominent business man Wicknell Chivhayo, former first lady Grace Mugabe as well as many other top political figures. Mr Pasi was also popular at the courts where he usually demonstrated a high level of understanding of legal principles.

Covid 19 has been ravaging the country unapologetically. Over 23 000 cases have been recorded so far. Of those over 500 deaths have occured. The situation has been intense prompting government to impose a 30 day national lockdown that is currently in place. Only essential services workers are allowed to go about their usual business.

Some people who have died of covid 19 include Impala car rental boss Thompson Dondo, media personality Zororo Makamba as well as ZBC reporter Janet Munyaka. Most people have been encouraged to make use of preventative methods such as steaming and drinking multi vitamins. Hospitals are currently battling to contain the large number of covid 19 patients
