South Africans rounded off their heritanth by celebrating heritage day in style. Being a multi cultural society, South Africa embraces its cultural diversity by bringing together people from different backgrounds to celebrate on this day. Heritage day is an important day being celebrated on the 24 the of September each year.
In his keynote address in Northern Cape the president of South Africa encouraged youths to produce more music in their local languages. He gave a resounding shout out to Sho Madjozi and King Monada for their contribution to the arts industry. He commended people for celebrating culture and diversity.
These are our top heritage day looks.
1 Celebrity chef and author Siba Mtongana posed in a gorgeous Xhosa tradition outfit. She paired it off with some African beads, bangles and reed utensils. The beautiful Siba looked all things African as she playfully posedfor the camera.
2 Nandi was a sight for sore eyes as she shared a picture which truly represented her African roots. Her make up took one down memory lane when women, using limited resources, would beautiful their faces using natural things. Her doll like clay skin immediately shouted her heritage and culture. Nandi finished off her look with a show stopping headwrap designed with African print.
3 Nomzamo Mbatha spiced up things by showing off some leg in her stylish heritage day gown.The sexy actress reminisced back on her roots in a long, oversized dress with a high slit. She seems to have mordenized her authentic African look. She however finished off her picture perfect pose by holding a traditional African clay pot.
Minnie Dhlamini went all out to resemble a true Zuku princess. Her well crafted and skillfully sewn animal hide ensemble has left many people marvelling.
5 Thando Thabethe also showed off some skin in a flawless torquise gown.
