Tino Kadewere back in action

Zimbabwe international forward Tino Kadewere is back in action at French Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyonnais after he was included in the squad for camp in Spain where the team is expected to play two friendlies.

The former Harare City striker was named along with twenty-six other players for the two friendly matches against Villareal and Sporting Lisbon on Thursday and Sunday respectively.

The Warriors forward who underwent surgery at the end of last season after suffering a thigh injury missed the team’s first two exhibition matches against Villefranche and Wolfsburg over the weekend as he was more time to recover before making a return to the field.

Lyon won 2-0 over Villefranche before dispatching Wolfsburg 4-1 as the pre-season preparations take centre stage.

Kadewere scored 10 goals for his club in 33 appearances last season and it is expected he will improve form what he achieved in his debut season the French topflight.

The Kids finished 4th last season behind Lille, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco after registering 22 wins, 10 draws and 6 losses in 38 matches.
