Twerking video causes furore.

A video that has been circulating of a woman twerking at a kitchen party has stirred controvesy. The issue of twerking at the kitchen party has not been of much concern but it is the fact that the woman was dancing alongside a toddler, who ended up imitatimg her moves, that ruffled some feathers.

It is a common practice in Zimbabwe that the bride to be is taken on a sexual orientation before he wedding day. The orientation is done through a social gathering called a Kitchen party wherein some ladies assemble themselves and initiate the new bride in how to please her husband to be. Topical issues include bedroom issues, kitchen matters and general etiquette

In the video, a woman is seen twerking and shaking her bums vidgorously to demonstrate how the bride to be should please her man. A young toddler of about 4 years of age is also seen besides her, twerking and imitatimg her every move. There has been outrage over the video with most people questioning the woman’s sanity for taking such a small kid to a sensitive event. They said that exposing a young child to such things would definitely influence her to engage in sexual activities early in order to satisfy her curiosity and experiment with what she would have seen. This is a cause for concern especially with the rapid increase in the spread of HIV and AIDS.

Parents usually leave their kids behind when attending such events. The unidentified woman has set tongues wagging for her ignorance. Others even stated that allowing a small child to see adult things such as the twerking in the video amounted to abuse.
