Speed dating event set for 1 March
Getting to meet a life partner may be the most gruesome of experiences. While one maybe involved in a series of relationships, meeting Mr and Mrs right is often not easy.
In a bid to speed up the process 1 March will be an opportunity for men and women to find prospective partners at a speed date event in the capital. The occassion has been dubbed Wepamwoyo.
There will be a variety of males and females to choose from providing an opportunity to leave the venue with a partner. Such a platform was necessitated by how challenging it can be to find a partner.
Given the hectic envrionment in the lives of many, speed dating eases the burden of the process of finding a partner. While some of the relationships that will be brought about by the 1 March event may not work out, there is the possibility of men and women getting to meet prospective soul mates.
Though not very common in Zimbabwe speed dating is a global phenomenon which makes it easier for one to find a partner. Wepamwoyo is thus giving Zimbabweans an opportunity to meet their partners.
Speed dating is a formalized matchmaking process which has the purpose of encouraging eligible singles to meet large numbers of new potential partners in a very short period of time. It was created in 1998 by Antony Beilinsohn (a Los Angeles-based television executive) after his rabbi, Yaacov Deyo, encouraged him to conceive of innovative ways for eligible Jewish singles to meet and marry.
