Tazvi Mhaka gives doctors first preference
Business man Tazvi Mhaka has been applauded for showing support to doctors during this time of crisis. Mhaka donated fuel to medical personnel and gave instructions at his service stations that doctors should get first preference in getting fuel so they go to work.
Tazvi also donated protective clothing in the form of gloves and masks to the ministry of health. The move has been commended by most people. Although the country boasts of a number of rich people, only a few people like Mhaka have come forward to assist health professionals.
Nurses downed tools recently citing lack of sufficient protective clothing. They also demanded allowances for working during such a difficult period. It was alleged last week that the major centre dealing with corona virus cases Wilkins had partially shut down with nurses demanding better working conditions.
Strive Masiyiwa also chopped in and offered a grant to all doctors working during this time of crisis. The decisions by both business men to lend a helping hand has been commended
