Katsande, Katsvairo Lead the Amakhosi To The Top Of The PSL Standings

Zimbabwean international soccer stars keeps on raising the Zimbabwean Flag high, they are now a gift that keeps on giving. Willard Katsande and Michelle Katsvairo’s goals paved way for the Kaizer Chiefs to move up to on the log standing they scored  Stars 2-0 in a Premier Soccer League (PSL) clash at the James Motlatsi Stadium .

Chiefs have found their grove following a slow start to the season and will now be eager to kick-on as they aim to mount a serious title challenge, following what was a trophyless 2015-16 campaign.

Katsande opened the scoring eight minutes later with the Glamour Boys midfielder making no mistake from the penalty spot. Joseph Okumu the guilty party, bring down Sibusiso Khumalo inside the area.

Despite Stars intent, it would be Chiefs to double their lead in the 64th minute of the game. Neat interplay between Ramahlwe Mphahlele and George Lebese opening things up for the Zimbabwe international who made no mistake from a tight angle, for his first goal in South Africa’s top-flight.

Both teams had chances to alter the scoreline in the dying embers of the game, but in the end the Amakhosi held on for a 2-0 win. Stars remain winless while Chiefs move top following a hat-trick of wins.
