Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tour Africa. Outcry as Zimbabwe is left out.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle commonly reffered to as the Duke and duchess of Sussex have been blasted for not getting into Zimbabwe amid their African tour. The couple is currently on a ten day visit to Africa with Angola, South Africa,Malawi and Botswana on their list of countries to visit. They have already been in South Africa where in they visited various cities.
The pair made a visit to the headquarters of Tutu legacy foundation and had the privilege to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter. They wanted to learn more about his work and the vision of the institution. It was then that the couple also introduced their son Archie Harrison to Archbishop Tutu. The Duke and duchess later on expressed gratitude for being hosted by the Archbishop and wrote,”Thank you archbishop Tutu for your incredibly warm hospitality, Archie loved meeting you”.
The royal couple also had workshops and meetings with different stakeholders including women from various foundations dealing with HIV and AIDS, cancer and gender issues.
Most people have lamented the curse of Zimbabwe as such a visit could have boosted relations between the two nations. The most painful bit was watching neighboring countries such as South Africa and Botswana proudly boasting of being visited by such influential people with so much power and potential to turn things around.
