The following vacant posts are available at Macheke Sub catchment council.

1. Job Title: Accountant.

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. He or she will be responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, Maintaining general ledger and preparing month end close procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Accounting,Finance or equivalent. Relevant experience and in depth understanding of Generally accepted principles of Accounting. Class four driver’s licence is an added advantage.

2. Job Title: River Monitor

Patrol rivers and all water sourced in the sub catchment. Report on water usage. Report illegal water abstractions and issue tickets. Facilitate water permit applications and assist in water dispute resolution. Deliver invoices and documentation from admin-clerk to surface and ground water permit holders. Work closely with ZINWA hydrological observers on data collection and protection of gauging stations.

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma/Certificate in Agriculture/water Resources management/Environmental or Natural resources management or relevant studies. 5 Ordinary levels. Relevant working experience in intergrated water resources management or working with similar structures or institutions will be an added advantage. Class 3 driver’s licence is a MUST.
