Jah Prayzah laments treatment of sons in law in new song
Jah Prayzah’s new song ‘Mukwasha’ has opened a can of worms in relation to the treatment of sons in law in the African set up. The singer pours his heart out about what he deems to be unfair treatment of sons in law.
Among other social ills, Jah Prayzah complains of how sons in law are made to part ways with their hard earned money in order to satisfy maternal in laws, how they are forced to do hard physical labour when such as cutting firewood when they visit in laws and the outmost level of respect that in laws demand from them.
The video features leading actors in on the local drama scene, vividly potrays the singer’s emotional message about how he feels sons in law should be treated. The visuals are on point with the video having been directed by Blaqs.
Mukwasha has been hailed by most people especially men as an eye opener to the abuse that men also suffer. There seems to be a lot of ignorance to the struggles that men encounter within family relations unlike the woes of women that people usually make noise about.
The song has been trending and the general reaction has been positive. Most people have warned up to the song and all the other songs on Jah Prayzah’s new album Hokoyi
