Jah Prayzah speaks on Sha Sha’s BET nomination

Jah Prayzah recently showed some love to fellow musician Sha Sha following her BET nomination. The South African based singer is the first ever Zimbabwean to be nominated for a BET award. The Amapiano queen has broken new ground and fans have been feeling in excitement. Sha Sha was nominated in the Viewer’s choice: Best International Act together with Rema from Nigeria, Celeste from the U.K,Young T and Bugsey from the U.K, Hatik from France and Stacy from France.

Jah Prayzah congratulated the singer and said a nomination is in itself a win. He applauded her for her hard work and wished her well to which she replied that she was a bag full of mixed emotions.

Sha Sha,real name Charmaine Mapimbiro is a singer born and raised in Mutare. She is currently signed to record producer DJ Maphorisa. She rose fame as the melodious voice behind the current hit song Akulaleki by Samthing Soweto among other hit songs. She is also currently rocking the airwaves with her current EP titled Blossom.

Sha Sha had fans excited when she announced the nomination a few days ago. She has indeed set a new record and most local artists have been called on to put in the works such that they also get such recognition. The BET awards are an annual awards event honouring black musicians.
